Description:
LeFlox 500 is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic containing Levofloxacin, an active compound that is effective in treating a wide range of bacterial infections. By inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, Levofloxacin prevents the bacteria from reproducing and spreading, thereby helping the body to fight off the infection.
Indications:
LeFlox 500 is commonly prescribed for the treatment of:
- Respiratory Tract Infections:
- Community-acquired pneumonia
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) exacerbations
- Acute bacterial sinusitis
- Acute bronchitis
- Urinary Tract Infections:

- Gastrointestinal Infections:
- Enteric fever (typhoid fever)

Side Effects:

- Serious Side Effects:

- Liver damage (elevated liver enzymes).
- Severe diarrhea (Clostridium difficile-associated).
