Description:

OrNix-500 contains Ornidazole, a nitroimidazole-class antibiotic with antiprotozoal and antibacterial properties. It is widely used for treating infections caused by anaerobic bacteria and protozoa. Ornidazole works by disrupting the DNA synthesis of the microorganisms, effectively stopping their growth and eliminating the infection.


Indications:

OrNix-500 is effective in treating:

  • Anaerobic Bacterial Infections:
    • Infections in the gastrointestinal tract, liver, or abdominal cavity.
    • Post-surgical infections.
  • Protozoal Infections:
    • Amoebiasis (intestinal and extraintestinal).
