Composition:
- Rabeprazole 20 mg (W.F.I.)
Description:
RaBest is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), formulated with Rabeprazole 20 mg. It is used to reduce stomach acid production and treat various conditions related to excessive acid production. Rabeprazole works by irreversibly inhibiting the H+/K+ ATPase pump, commonly known as the proton pump, found in the stomach lining. This leads to a reduction in stomach acid secretion, providing relief from conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
RaBest is specially designed for intravenous administration, ensuring rapid and effective relief in patients who may be unable to take oral medications.
Indications:
RaBest [Vial] is typically prescribed for the following conditions:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD):
- To treat acid reflux and related conditions, reducing heartburn, regurgitation, and damage to the esophagus.
- Peptic Ulcers:
- Healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers, promoting mucosal protection and regeneration.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome:
- A condition where the stomach produces excessive acid, leading to ulcers and other gastrointestinal issues.
- Prevention of Stress Ulcers:
- To protect the stomach lining in critically ill patients.
- Helicobacter pylori Eradication Therapy:
- Part of a combination therapy for treating H. pylori infections associated with peptic ulcers.
