Panex-DSR

Composition:

• Pantoprazole 40 mg
• Domperidone 30 mg (Sustained Release)

Description:

Panex DSR is a combination of Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and Domperidone, a dopamine antagonist with prokinetic properties. This tablet is designed for managing acid-related disorders of the stomach and improving gastrointestinal motility. The sustained release (SR) formulation of Domperidone ensures prolonged action for enhanced effectiveness.

Indications:

Panex DSR is commonly prescribed for:

• Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
• Chronic Acid Peptic Disorders
• Non-Ulcer Dyspepsia
• Functional Dyspepsia
• Erosive Esophagitis
• Prevention of NSAID-induced Gastric Damage
• Gastritis with Nausea and Vomiting

Side Effects:

• Common:
  • Headache, nausea, abdominal pain, dizziness.
• Rare but Serious:
  • Severe allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing).
  • QT prolongation leading to arrhythmias.
  • Diarrhea or constipation.

Key Notes:

• Complete the prescribed course even if symptoms improve.
