Description:
Valex CR 200 is a combination of Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid, both of which are anticonvulsant agents used to treat a variety of seizure disorders. Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid work together to stabilize electrical activity in the brain and reduce the frequency and severity of seizures.
Valex CR (Controlled Release) formulation ensures a longer duration of action, providing a more consistent therapeutic effect over a 24-hour period, which reduces the need for frequent dosing. This makes it especially beneficial for patients with epilepsy or seizure disorders.
Indications:
Valex CR 200 is commonly prescribed for the following conditions:
- Epilepsy:
- For the treatment of various types of seizures, including generalized tonic-clonic seizures, partial seizures, and absence seizures.
- Bipolar Disorder:
- To stabilize mood and prevent episodes of mania or hypomania.
- Migraine Prophylaxis:
- For the prevention of migraines in adults.
- Other Neurological Conditions:
- As an adjunctive treatment in some rare neurological conditions as prescribed by the doctor.
Benefits:
- Effective seizure control: Sodium Valproate and Valproic Acid are among the most widely prescribed anticonvulsant drugs for controlling seizures.
